MFA (Multi Factor Authentication)

We have enabled Multifactor Authentication on N-Genius payment portal for all the Tenant/Merchant having access to payment portal.
Multifactor authentication is an additional security to ensure enhanced security, compliance with PCI DSS 4.0 and protect sensitive payment data from unauthorized access.

The Multifactor authentication is implemented to use the below mentioned method:

• Email Based Verification Code
• Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) using authenticator

N-Genius users can follow the below screenshots in case they face issues with the flow of MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) to login to the portal

Present login screen for the user to enter login credentials

The user will be asked to select the preferred authentication method

In case the user selects Email OTP, OTP is sent to the email ID configured for the user to enter and submit to login to N-Genius

Once the user enters correct OTP and clicks on Submit, it will take the user on N-Genius landing page

If the user clicks on Try Another Method or Selects App TOPT, a registration page will open for the user to register using authenticator

User should scan the barcode, enter the authenticator code and Device name and click on Submit to reach N-Genius landing page

For subsequent login attempts using TOTP, below screen will show-up to enter OTP from authenticator

The user enters the OTP from the authenticator and then the user is taken to the N-genius landing page

Delink the device in case the user wants to register new device

The user can ask the merchant admin to delink the device and do fresh authenticator registration. If the user is merchant admin, the user should reach out to NI ecomsupport team for delinking the user.
